Self Love
This project began with a simple sketch, as I was housesitting for a boyfriend who did not want to be called that. When I posted the digital illustration on Instagram, as a valentines for my followers, it turned out to be my most popular post to date. After the boy and I broke up, I started focussing on the love I have for myself, my friends and all the beautiful and strong women out there. The meaning of the design started to dawn on me. I needed to hold, love, and protect myself and my most sacred parts. I created signs of the design to hold at the Women’s March. And I made pins, so you can wear your heart on your sleeve. I’m working on an online shop, but if you can’t wait to order your own Self love pin, just let me know!
